About

Manu Sanroman

I'm a youth football coach who grew up playing the game in three countries: Mexico (Cruz Azul U-11), the US (Texas Rush) and Spain (summer camps at Mareo, Sporting de Gijón's academy). Each one taught me something different about how the game is played and coached.

I've been coaching since I was 15. At Houston Dutch Lions I worked with players from 4 to 18, helped shape the club's methodology around small-sided games and progressing the ball, and started its 1-on-1 training program. I'm now in my third season with the Rayados academy, coaching the U-10s.

I built the Skills Challenge so players keep working on their technique at home. I also hold a Master's in Sports Big Data from Real Madrid Graduate School, and I coach in both English and Spanish.

Next, I want to run an academy's methodology: what gets trained, when, and why.
